BEYOND 2017: “ALL ART IS QUITE USELESS”? by SMU INDANCITY

In his provocative novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde boldly declared that “all art is quite useless”. In response to his view on the arts, SMU INDANCITY has put together a triple bill of contemporary dance performances. These performances, which follow the themes, Art & Beauty, Art & Society, and Art & the Artist, explore the meaning of art and its relevance to today’s society and our personal lives.

Featuring original dance works by resident choreographer, Dan Kwoh, and talented artistes Goh Jia Yin and Yarra Ileto, the trio will lead the audience on a journey of reflection and discovery with beautifully choreographed movements. There will be a guest performance by SMU Stereometa, who will provide digital music to accompany one of the dance pieces.

$25.00 (Circle 2)
$28.00 (Stall & Circle 1)

Tickets available at B3, SMU Alumni Association Bistro (80 Stamford Road, Basement Concourse, School of Information Systems, SMU) or online at www.smuartsfestival.com.
